In 2009, Mathew Raab and Aric Christopher began scouting for a new restaurant location. After diligently mapping the Southern California landscape and demographic for the right fit, Aric and Mathew decided upon the Santa Ynez Valley and found it to be a perfect harmony for Fresco’s freshly prepared menu items. Not only have Santa Ynez Valley residents been voicing for years their desires for a Fresco to call their own, but both owners were keen to the blossoming Wine industry in the area and the tourism that to this day, is continuously on the rise.
Fresco Valley Café opened its doors in September 2010, after an extensive remodel to the restaurant’s location. Within the first 6 months of operation, Fresco Valley Café was awarded “Best new Business” “Best Salad in the Valley” and a “Beautification Award” by the Santa Ynez Valley Journal. Fresco Valley Café specializes in lunch and dinner entrees utilizing fresh and local ingredients while using organic ingredients as mush as possible. The seasonal dinner menu does its best to exemplify the Santa Ynez Valley’s eclectic palate & the Lunch menu is aimed to please a wide variety of both classic and eclectic lunch ideals for both locals and tourists alike.
